World Day “against Trafficking in Persons”

World Day "against Trafficking in Persons"

The United Nations General Assembly has designated July 30 as the World Day against Trafficking in Persons. The main aim of this day is to raise awareness about the situation of the victims of human trafficking, to promote and protect their rights, to emphasize the importance of continuing efforts to raise awareness about this crime and its different forms, the need to provide the necessary care and services for survivors of human trafficking crimes, and prosecute criminals and bring them to justice. This year’s world celebrations are held under the slogan (Use and Abuse of Technology).

This year Tadwein for Gender Studies launched an awareness raising campaign celebrating the World Day against Trafficking in Persons through all its social media outlets and website. The campaign contained various illustrations and posts reflecting the main concept, types of human trafficking and the national law related to it.
