Tadwein for Gender Studies is an Egyptian feminist organization, established in 2016, working toward a future where women and
marginalized groups are not only protected from discrimination, violence, and inequality, but
are genuinely empowered to lead, thrive, and shape the institutions, cultures, and
communities around them.
Our mission
Our vision
Tadwein is committed to advancing gender justice through the production of feminist knowledge, advocacy, strengthening feminist networks, and providing relevant services and support.
We work to bridge the gap between theory and practice by implementing strategic, rights-based programs that create measurable impact and sustainable change.
At the same time, we strive to unify voices, build feminist coalitions, and drive collective action that challenges harmful norms and advances equity.
Through the use of diverse media platforms and advocacy tools, we work to spark dialogue, shift cultural narratives, and promote legal reform by challenging discriminatory legislation and advocating for stronger, more just policies.
We envision a society where gender justice is not an abstract aspiration, but a lived reality woven into every law, policy, institution, practice and social norm, where equity is foundational, and where those who have long been silenced are heard, valued and uplifted.
Our team is a dynamic collective of researchers, strategists, and changemakers united by the
belief that equality is essential.
We work with integrity, transparency, and courage, values that shape every decision, partnership, and initiative we lead.
What sets us apart is our ability to combine academic depth with grassroots insight and bold media innovation, transforming evidence into action and action into meaningful, lasting impact.
