In accordance with the 16 days of activism against GBV, Tadwein for Gender Studies organized a national conference titled “Fostering Collaborating and Accelerating Efforts to end Gender-Based Violence in Egypt“. The conference was held on Wednesday, December 7^th, 2022. A new study about femicide in Egypt titled “We are killed because we are women” was launched during the conference. More than 80 people participated in the conference, representing women’s and human rights organizations, civil societies, women’s and youth initiatives and some funding agencies.
