Towards Safe Work Environment for Female Journalists in Egypt
Tadwein Center for Gender Studies has organized a round table to discuss effective solutions to the problem of the unsafe work environment for female journalists in Egypt, and to identify a set of measures and policies that ensure the protection of female workers in press and media institutions from any form of sexual violence, whether in the workplace or in their field work.
This round table was conducted in cooperation with a group of specialists and experts in the fields of journalism, media and law, to discuss a policy paper that is to be presented by the center on Saturday, December 1, 2018.
Tadwein Center, with the help of media professionals and journalists, tried to draft a set of policies that are to be adopted by the media and journalistic outlets to ensure a safe work environment that is free from all types of sexual violence towards women.
