“Killed Because They Were Women” Campaign
Tadwein for Gender Studies have launched a campaign titled “Killed Because They Were Women”. The Campaign aimed to shed the light on the increasing cases of killings of women or girls that have been occurring lately in Egypt. The Campaign shared stories of real women or girls that have been deliberately killed or have committed suicide due the hardships they face because of their gender. The Campaign also included awareness sessions as well as medical convoys which were conducted in Fayoum, Giza, and Qalubeya as part of the celebrations of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence Campaign.
