A Medical Caravan to Raise Awareness of the Dangers of Female Genital Mutilation

Tadwein for Gender Studies has organized a medical caravan to raise awareness on the harms and dangers of female genital mutilation crime on February 18, 2020 in Saqyet Mekki, in cooperation with the “Special Union Against Harmful Practices”, the “Aamal El Gad” association and the International Federation of Medical Students in Egypt (IFMSA).

The caravan also conducted a series of medical tests to the residents of the targeted areas, such as blood sugar, blood pressure and early detection of breast cancer.

Nineteen doctors from the IFMSA participated in this caravan, reaching more than 270 citizens.
