This is due to widespread societal and medical neglect of women&#8217;s pain, and the <strong data-start=\"455\" data-end=\"472\">common belief<\/strong> that severe menstrual pain is \u201cnormal\u201d and should simply be endured.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"543\" data-end=\"904\">For this reason, <strong data-start=\"560\" data-end=\"590\">Tadwein for Gender Studies<\/strong> is launching the <strong data-start=\"608\" data-end=\"626\">#It&#8217;s_ Not_ Normal _Pain<\/strong>\u00a0campaign in conjunction with <strong data-start=\"656\" data-end=\"687\">World Menstrual Hygiene Day<\/strong>, to shed light on this condition, break the silence surrounding the suffering of those affected, raise public and medical awareness, and call for accurate diagnosis and equitable healthcare for all who experience it.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Many women and girls around the world suffer from endometriosis, a chronic and painful condition that significantly affects their daily lives and both their mental and physical health.
