On the 14th of June 2023, Tadwein for Gender Studies celebrated launching its new partnership with Shemsi Company at the American University in Cairo. Shemsi is the first trademark to produce and sell period underwear in Egypt. The aim of this partnership is to foster efforts to eliminate period poverty, fight stigma, and break the stereotypes related to menstruation in Egypt.
