A Study on Women’s Rights Online

A study conducted by Tadwein Research Center in cooperation with The World Wide Web Foundation, in which the center conducted a non-random sample survey in poor communities in urban areas of Greater Cairo. The sample included a group of 1000 respondents (750 women, 250 men) of different ages and backgrounds.
The study indicated that there are more than 23.5 million internet users in Egypt, most of whom use it through mobile phones, at a rate of 33.3%, and that there is a gender gap in the Internet access.
